Trump’s trade war creates boom for Aussie farmers
Canberra/Tokyo | Australia has become the surprise winner from trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies with 2025 on track to become the biggest year of beef exports to China as Beijing’s tariffs drive down American meat imports.
Not only are Australia’s exports to China rising, so too are beef sales to the United States, underscoring the extent to which Australia has so far benefited from the economic dislocation caused by US President Donald Trump’s trade war.
