Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF leads overseas fund-of-funds mutual funds in one-year CAGR returns; delivers 75.6% gain
Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF delivered 75.6% CAGR returns over the last one year and 39.9% CAGR over three years, according to ACE MF data on July 2.

Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF currently leads the overseas fund-of-funds mutual fund category with a one-year CAGR return of 75.6 percent. It is followed by Edelweiss Greater China Equity Off-shore Fund and Kotak Global Emerging Market Overseas Equity Omni FOF, which delivered returns of 56.3 percent and 55.8 percent, respectively, over the same period, according to ACE MF data on July 2.
The ranking considers only schemes with assets under management of at least Rs 1,500 crore. Among the top five funds that meet this criterion, Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF has the largest corpus at Rs 8,583.3 crore.
The benchmark comparison is also important. Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF was ahead of its benchmark by 46.1 percentage points on a one-year basis, with the benchmark returning 29.5%. It was also ahead of its benchmark by 15.4 percentage points on a three-year basis, with the benchmark returning 24.5%.
The same scheme also stays ahead on the one-month return chart. Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF delivered -0.5 percent over this period.
The three-month return table also has Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF in front, with the fund delivering 40.1 percent.
There is no change at the top when the three-year window is considered. Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FOF remains ahead with 39.9 percent.
The variation across return windows shows why rankings can look different depending on the period being considered. A short-term leader may not always be the same as the fund that has done well over a longer horizon.

What is an overseas fund-of-funds fund?
Funds in the fofs (overseas) category should be assessed against schemes with similar investment mandates. Return comparisons across unrelated categories may not be meaningful because risk, asset allocation and portfolio strategy can differ sharply.
