Social Security Payments Arrive This Week: Are You Getting One?

Social Security payments are arriving this week, and millions of recipients will see benefits on a set schedule. People born between the 11th and the 20th will receive payments on Wednesday, Oct. 19, while those born between the first and the 10th are paid on the second Wednesday of each month. Supplemental Security Income payments were issued on Aug. 3, and the next SSI payment will go out Tuesday, Sept. 1. Paper checks are being phased out as the agency moves toward electronic payments, with the average cost to print a check listed at $3.07.
