Cathie Wood increases stake in surging crypto ETF
Cathie Wood is one of the most bullish investors when it comes to Bitcoin (BTC).
In fact, she was among the first investors to gain Bitcoin exposure, with ARK Invest being the first public asset manager to gain BTC exposure in 2015. She is also known for her bullish price target of $1.25 billion for the leading cryptocurrency.
However, ARK’s latest purchase indicates the veteran investor is as interested in other cryptocurrencies.

ARK buys more shares of 3iQ Solana Staking ETF
On Sep. 28, ARK Invest bought 8,579 shares of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF (TSX: SOLQ).
The latest purchase worth approximately $85,500 is a continuation of ARK’s purchase of the same ETF twice last week:

Launched by Canadian digital asset manager 3iQ Corp. on Apr. 16, 2025, the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF tracks SOL’s price while offering passive income through the network staking rewards.
The Solana blockchain runs on a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. It means the network participants lock their tokens to help verify and add transactions in return for passive rewards.
With a market capitalization of around $91 billion, Solana is the seventh-largest cryptocurrency.
The 3iQ Solana Staking ETF has surged around 17% in a month, trading at $9.87 at the time of writing.
On the other hand, the Solana cryptocurrency has surged 13% in a month and was trading at $120.76 at the time of writing.
