Stock Market LIVE: Sensex rises 700 pts, Nifty tops 22,450 as TCS, Apollo Hospitals shares lead

Stock Market LIVE: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) share price rose as much as 4.7 per cent to the day’s high of ₹2,174 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The IT major reported late Thursday a net profit of ₹13,884 crore for Q2FY27, up 14.9 per cent year-on-year from ₹12,075 crore in Q2FY26. Read analysts’ view. 

Stock Market LIVE: The broader market indices traded on a mixed note at the open. The Nifty Midcap 100 surged 0.14 per cent, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 slipped 0.82 per cent. 
 

Stock Market LIVE: On  the sectoral front, the Nifty IT index gained the most, surging 2.79 per cent at the open. 

 

Stock Market LIVE: From the Sensex pack, TCS emerged as the top gainer. TCS shares jumped nearly 4 per cent after the Q2 results. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech and ITC were other major gainers. Eternal, ICICI Bank, and BEL  were the top losers. 

 

Stock Market LIVE: The Nifty 50index traded in the green at open. The index surged 103 points, or 0.46 per cent to 22,335.
