Newsroom Staff
U.S. – Americans have more money now than they did during the pandemic, according to the Federal Reserve’s Survey of Consumer Finances.
The survey shows median family net worth rose 2% from 2022 to 2025. With inflation adjustments, that works out to $216,000.
The study measures assets such as stocks and home equity, minus mortgages and credit card debt.
Meanwhile, people aged 75 and older became the richest age group, while wealth declined for people under 35.
