So attractive I want to buy them all! I purchased 3 growth-themed ETFs
With unsettling news like the daily reports of personal information leaks, the world feels unstable, but putting that aside, I recently purchased three growth-themed ETFs.
I purchased the following three stocks this time.
1. GX Robotics & AI – Japanese Equity (2638)
2. GX Defense Tech (466A)
3. GX Space Tech (610A)
The number of units purchased for each is small. Also, I tried splitting the purchase method between buying a few units at once and using a savings plan.
Until now, I mostly checked stocks every time the Japan Company Handbook was released and selected stocks that caught my eye. To be honest, I sometimes refer to books or buy stocks recommended by the investment YouTubers I look up to as mentors (laughs).
This time, I wanted to try a method a bit different from that kind of individual stock investment.
That is why I turned my attention to growth-themed ETFs. I chose funds with names that particularly interested me and funds that are currently attracting attention.
Also, apart from the three I purchased this time, I already hold two other GX series ETFs.
And since both of those have risen significantly since I bought them, I have a very positive impression of them.
With that experience, I had no hesitation in making this purchase.
Actually, what troubles me is that there are many other attractive growth-themed ETFs out there. To put it extremely, I want to buy them all (laughs).
As with investment trusts, compared to the 10-plus years ago when I started investing, the improvement in the variety of funds is like a different world. The fact that there are more investment options now compared to back then is a welcome change for investors.
I don’t know what will happen to the three I purchased this time. I bought them in small amounts, and in some ways, I chose them for fun. Rather than expecting large profits, I intend to watch how they perform while enjoying the process.
I plan to keep them with the mindset that it’s fine as long as I don’t lose money.
Finally, on a different note, I was saddened to hear the news of the passing of manga artist Tetsuya Chiba. I pray for the soul of the manga artist who brought so many masterpieces into the world.
