See when your November Social Security check arrives
Most people who receive Social Security retirement benefits will receive their November 2026 payments on the Social Security Administration’s regular schedule, with payment dates determined by their birthdates and when they began receiving benefits.
Here’s what to know about November Social Security payments, including when Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will receive their benefits. Although SSI and Social Security are separate programs, about half of SSI recipients also receive Social Security benefits.

SSI is a separate program from Social Security retirement benefits and is funded differently. Some people qualify for both types of benefits.
When do SSI recipients receive their November payment?
SSI recipients will receive their November payment early, on Friday, Oct. 30, because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday.
When the first day of a month falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the Social Security Administration generally issues SSI payments on the preceding business day, according to SSA policy.
Remaining SSI payment dates in 2026
According to the SSA’s 2026 payment schedule, the remaining SSI payment dates for 2026 are:
-
Tuesday, Dec. 1: December 2026 payment.
-
Thursday, Dec. 31: January 2027 payment.
How much will Social Security benefits increase in 2027?
The Social Security Administration announced in mid-October that Social Security beneficiaries will receive a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, in 2027. The adjustment is the largest in four years and the biggest since the 8.7% increase announced in 2022 for 2023, when inflation reached a 40-year high.

The increase will take effect with the January 2027 payment. It applies to Social Security retirement, survivor and disability benefits, as well as Supplemental Security Income payments. Annual COLAs are intended to help beneficiaries, most of whom are seniors, keep pace with inflation and maintain their purchasing power.
The amount of the increase will depend on each recipient’s current monthly benefit. According to the SSA, the COLA will increase the average monthly retirement benefit by about $75, from approximately $2,095 to $2,170.
