Cathie Wood Says the Midterm Election Won't Halt the AI Revolution
ChainCatcher report: Cathie Wood, founder of ARK Invest, posted that she does not believe the outcome of this U.S. midterm election will halt the AI revolution. She believes market uncertainty is understandable, but the economy is on a stronger growth trajectory than most investors realize.
She said that the stock market began pricing in the possibility of an extended war in Iran and a Democratic sweep of the elections as early as May and June, while rising oil and gasoline prices further increased the cost-of-living burden on consumers. Voters focused on household finances made the congressional election results more conservative than headlines suggested.
Cathie Wood expects data center developers to place greater emphasis on local community concerns and provide and highlight more community benefits, including reduced property taxes, increased high-paying jobs, stimulation of commercial development, and funding for schools and cultural facilities.
She stated that the productivity gains from AI are accelerating, and she expects these benefits to translate into higher wages, stronger profit margins, increased investment, and lower prices, helping to alleviate cost-of-living pressures. The market has only just begun to experience the impact of this technological revolution.
