Tracking Invest 97L in the Caribbean
Low pressure in the SW Caribbean (Invest 97L) likely becomes a tropical depression within the next day or two.
It will move North and then Northwest, passing over Cuba and then emerging into the Southeast Gulf of Mexico next week. It could become the next named storm (Rafael)
There is some model disagreement, as to be expected with a disorganized blob this far out in time.
At the very least, it will help to draw tropical moisture back into Florida with increasing rain chances Tuesday-Wednesday.
The tropical system will also help to tighten the pressure gradient with winds gusting into the 30s also during that time frame.
How much rainfall and how much wind we get will depend on how strong it becomes and how close to the Florida West Coast it tracks.
Details to be adjusted/refined day by day.
