Who will receive Social Security Disability payment before Black Friday?
Social Security has programs to support people with disabilities, such as Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and they are a lifeline for 7.8 million Americans, who must stay abreast of the latest news about their payment dates.
Beneficiaries who have worked for years and contributed to Social Security taxes rely on SSDI when they can no longer continue their activities due to a disability, while low-income people with little or no work history, who are also unable to work due to a medical condition, can make use of SSI.
When applying for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), one of the main concerns is knowing the date of the monthly payment and how much the benefits amount to. The Social Security Administration (SSA) determines the payment based on average lifetime earnings prior to becoming disabled, without taking into account the severity of the disability.
Who will receive their payment before Black Friday on Wednesday, November 27?
SSDI payments are distributed on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays. The date is based on your date of birth.
The staggered organization allows the SSA to manage the distribution of funds more efficiently. This is how the payment schedule is divided:
- Second Wednesday of the month: If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th.
- Third Wednesday of the month: If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th.
- Fourth Wednesday of the month: If your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st.
If you were born between the 1st and 10th, you will receive your SSDI payment on Wednesday, November 13. Beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th will receive their payment on November 20. If your date of birth is between the 21st and 31st, don’t despair, your payment should arrive on Wednesday, November 27.
In the event of a delay in payment, the Social Security Administration (SSA) recommends waiting three business days. If your payment has not arrived within that period, contact your bank to confirm that there is no problem on their part. If everything is fine on that side, contact the nearest Social Security Office to resolve any issues.
