Cathie Wood Sees Bitcoin Surging More Than 1,500% This Decade
Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has updated its long-term forecast for Bitcoin (BTC-USD), laying out a bullish case that sees the world’s largest cryptocurrency reaching $1.5 million per coin by 2030.
In its latest investor report, the firm presented three potential price paths for Bitcoin over the next five years. The bull case projects a 1,500% gain from current levels, while the base case points to a $710,000 price target a roughly 750% increase. Even in its bear case, Ark still sees bitcoin climbing to $300,000 by decade’s end, representing a 317% rise.
We updated our Bitcoin price targets for 2030, the firm said, projecting bear, base, and bull cases of ~$300,000, ~$710,000, and ~$1.5 million per bitcoin.
At present, Bitcoin is trading around $94,500, up 1.3% year-to-date. While that’s a positive return, it’s far from the levels outlined in Ark’s scenarios. Hitting any of those milestones would require strong momentum and sustained adoption across sectors, particularly institutional investment.
Ark has long held a bullish stance on digital assets, often pointing to Bitcoin’s role as a hedge, a store of value, and a potential global settlement layer. The firm’s updated targets suggest confidence in the continued growth of the crypto ecosystem, even in the face of regulatory uncertainty and shifting macro conditions.
