RTX 5060 laptops coming this month
If you’re holding out for an RTX 5060-enabled laptop, then the good news is that several have already been announced with availability this month.
Prices will start at $1,099 and we’ve got confirmation the GPU will be available in the likes of the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S, Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, Alienware 16 Area-51, Razer Blade 16, HP Omen 16, Lenovo Legion 5i Pro and more.
When does stock go on sale?
Nvidia has already confirmed the official launch date of the RTX 5060 is today, May 19 — but we don’t know exactly when stock will become available in your location. However, I’m making a comfortable bet that we’ll start to see stock appearing at 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm BST.
Why? Well, judging from past events that seems to be the sweet spot for retailers. Stay tuned here to see if that prediction comes true.
Will this budget GPU be good enough?
Let’s be clear, this is a lower-end GPU with 8GB of VRAM and, understandably, there’s been some questions over performance.
We’ve had some time with the RTX 5060 already and, although we were playing under Nvidia’s conditions, the early outlook is promising. We played 5 titles at 1080p under Nvidia’s scenarios and found the games lived up to (and in some cases, slightly exceed) the company’s performance claims.
The RTX 5060 is here! Almost!
