Dartmouth-Hitchcock Retirement Fee Lawsuit Settles for $850,000
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic agreed to pay $850,000 to resolve a lawsuit by workers challenging the fees and investment options in the New Hampshire health system’s retirement plans.
The proposed deal is slated to benefit about 31,256 people covered by a pair of Dartmouth-Hitchcock retirement plans since March 2016, according to a Tuesday motion seeking settlement approval in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Plan participants called the deal an “excellent result” and said they’d estimated their best possible damages in the case to be about $5 million.
