When do I get my August 2025 Social Security check?
There is a good portion of the American population that relies on Social Security as their primary, and sometimes sole, source of income.
In fact, nearly 7.4 million people rely on these benefits in some form or another, according to statistics from the Social Security Administration.
Each month, the Social Security Administration issues payments intended to cover basic living expenses, from food to housing to medical care.
Although there are a lot of people who receive Social Security, not everyone knows what goes into calculating their payments, when they will arrive or how they will change over time.
Here’s what you need to know about the time of the month you will receive your August 2025 Social Security payments.
When will I get my August 2025 Social Security check?

| Birthdate from Aug. 1-10 | Will receive Social Security on Aug. 13, 2025 |
| Birthdate from Aug. 11-20 | Will receive Social Security on Aug. 20, 2025 |
| Birthdate from Aug. 21-31 | Will receive Social Security on Aug. 27, 2025 |
| SSI Recipients | Should have received their last SSI payment on Aug. 1, 2025, and will receive their next SSI payment on Aug. 29, 2025 |
| People who receive SSI and Social Security | Should have received SSI and Social Security on Aug. 1, 2025 |
The Social Security Administration will send your August 2025 check on a specific day of the month depending on your date of birth, according to this calendar.
If your birthday falls on the first to the 10th of the month, for example, you receive your payments on the second Wednesday of the month. Social security check recipients, who fall under this category, should receive their first check by Aug. 13.
If your birthdate is between the 11th and 20th of the month, your payments arrive on the third Wednesday of the month. Recipients, who fall under this category, should have received their check on Aug. 20.
If your birthday happens to be from the 21st to the 30th, your payments are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of the month. If you fall under this category, you will receive your payment on Aug. 27.
The next payment for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients is Aug. 29. You should have received Social Security and SSI on August 1, if you began receiving Social Security before May 1997 or you receive SSI and Social Security.
