SSDI payment schedule for September 2025
If you receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits, the exact date you get paid depends on your birthday, so the schedule is organized like this:
- If you were born between the 1st and 10th of any month, your payment will arrive on Wednesday, September 10.
- If your birthday is from the 11th to the 20th, your deposit will be made on Wednesday, September 17.
- If you were born between the 21st and the 31st, you will receive payment on Wednesday, September 24.
But there are important exceptions. If you started receiving benefits before May 1997 or if you receive SSI and SSDI at the same time, then your deposit will arrive on Wednesday, September 3, regardless of your date of birth.
Some beneficiaries can receive more than $1,200 a month, depending on their work history. These payments are essential to cover housing, health and food expenses, so knowing the exact dates allows you to better organize your monthly budget.
What about the SSI payment in September 2025?
In the case of Supplemental Security Income (SSI), the payment is normally made on the first of each month. However, in September 2025 there will be no deposit, because the first falls on a Monday holiday (Labor Day).
Therefore, the September payment will be brought forward to Friday, August 29, 2025. This means that those receiving SSI will have two payments in August (one at the beginning of the month and one at the end), but none during September.
This type of adjustment occurs when the normal payment date falls on a weekend or holiday. It is important to bear this in mind so as not to become confused or unnecessarily worried when you see that nothing is received in September.
