NEW YORK — Stocks are holding near breakeven in the early going on Wall Street as indexes hover just below their recent all-time highs.
The S&P 500 was barely budging in the first few minutes of trading Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 30 points, or 0.1 per cent, and the Nasdaq composite was flat.
Boeing rose about one per cent after Korean Air announced a US$50 billion deal with the company that includes buying more than 100 aircraft. Treasury yields were little changed in the bond market.
Crude oil prices fell. European markets were mostly lower and Asian markets closed lower overnight.
