Dow Opens Higher Ahead of Speech From Fed's Powell
Stocks were mixed to start Tuesday’s session as Wall Street digested the latest round of Fedspeak and looked ahead to comments from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 93 points, or 0.2%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were hovering around breakeven.
Headlines related to Apple, Nvidia, and Oracle propelled the stock market to fresh highs on Monday, even though breadth was slightly negative. Any move higher would be a fresh record close for the big three indexes.
