Bond ETFs rise following Fed’s policy decision
The iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF and the Vanguard Total Bond Market ETF both were rising around 0.8% in late-afternoon trading, according to FactSet data, at last check. The Fed announced Thursday that it lowered its policy rate by a quarter of a percentage point to a target range of 4.5% to 4.75%, saying the U.S. economy has continued to expand at a “solid pace” while inflation has made progress toward its 2% goal.
