Chances for tropical development of Tropical Wave Invest 93-L decreasing
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – As of Thursday afternoon, the area of low pressure we’ve been tracking along the Gulf Coast remains disorganized as it moves inland over southeastern Louisiana.
This low pressure, given the designation “Tropical Wave Invest 93-L”, has a 10% (Low) chance of further development as it moves along the Louisiana coastline.
It is forecast to weaken more as it moves farther inland on Friday.
Regardless of development, heavy rain continues along the Gulf Coast. Pockets of heavy rain from this disturbance will continue into the start of the weekend for communities such as New Orleans.
Regardless of development, heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding over portions of the north-central Gulf Coast through Friday.
