“I have known Dan for over twenty years and been looking for an opportunity to work with him. The screenplay for ‘Black Tuesday’ is riveting, with its fascinating and complex characters, and its parallels to our current financial system 100 years later,” said Jackman in a statement. “Compelling and superbly written, it reveals the hidden machinations of a pivotal moment in history that we all think we know. It struck me the way ‘Conclave did when I first read it—a thriller of the highest quality.”
“Black Tuesday” is the first project to enter pre-production from the previously announced Atomic Features development fund, and will be co-produced by the company. The film is executive produced by Fanghua Jiang with her company San Demetrio Arte. Other executive producers include Li Jing and Ricky Russert.
