Dow ends down 670 points, S&P 500 tumbles 1.2% as Trump's tariffs roil stock market
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost over 670 points, or 1.6%, to end near 42,520, according to preliminary data from FactSet.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.4%, to finish at around 18,285. The tech-heavy index failed to maintain its footing after bouncing back from its session lows in afternoon action.
The S&P 500 tumbled over 1.2%, ending near 5,778.
