Dow Jones sells land in Chicopee, says no change to operations
CHICOPEE — Dow Jones & Co., publishers of The Wall Street Journal, sold a usable but vacant 19-acre parcel on Burnett Road March 18.
Dow Jones has a printing plant next door.
The buyer is UFP Technologies of Newburyport, according to documents on file at the Hampden Registry of Deeds. UFP Technologies’ Chicopee plant is next door.
The purchase price as $40,000.
UFP Technologies wanted space for overflow parking, said Dow Jones spokeswoman Jessica Mara in an email Friday.

“This transaction has no impact on our existing operations in Chicopee and is not indicative of any future changes, she said.
