Dow Opens 300 Points Higher as Markets Start 2025 Positively

After opening higher, the Nasdaq Composite was struggling to stay positive to start the year. The tech-heavy index was up 0.2% after opening higher, then turning negative. The S&P 500 was up 0.3%, but it shed a large chunk of its initial gains. The Dow was up 233 points, or 0.6%.
