Harry Cobden bullish star horse can ‘put down marker’ to get top stable firing again
HARRY COBDEN reckons Bravemansgame can show the world that the Paul Nicholls juggernaut is back in form.
14-time champion trainer Nicholls has endured a slower start than he’s used to this season.

Stage Star was a notable early season defeat in the Old Roan last weekend, but Cobden is adamant this weekend will be the turning point.
Stable star Bravemansgame bids for a second Charlie Hall at Wetherby on Saturday and champion jockey Cobden means business.
He told Planet Sport Bet: “There’s been a lot made of Paul’s horses’ form at the minute. It’s fair to say that we had a quieter October than usual.
“I’m quietly confident we’re going to have a very good November and December. I hope that Bravemansgame can put a bit of a marker down and show we’re up and running.
“We were gutted to get beat in the race last year, so we’ve got him a lot fitter this time around and he’s in fantastic form at home.
“He’s done loads of work, he’s schooled brilliantly and I don’t think we could have him in better form going into this race. He is absolutely flying.
“We know the track suits, he should be fine on the good ground and he’s a worthy favourite.”
Things were made easier for Bravemansgame with Turners winner Grey Dawning coming out.
But he will face a stern test from multiple Grade 1 winner Conflated, should that rivals jumping hold up.
