He says he lost two family members in the conflict, with more stuck in the warzone.”Their words exactly to us exactly: ‘we would rather die under American or Israeli bombs than be shot by our own government,'” said Moghbelli.While supporters were there to see Trump, some say they were interested in what local congressional candidates had to say.”I did not have the luxury of just being a Navy SEAL, I was an officer … so the buck stopped with me,” said Ed Gallrein, who is running for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District. “It’ll stop with me for you in Congress and in Washington, D.C., when I partner with President Trump.”Gallrein is running against Rep. Thomas Massie, who President Trump has publicly feuded with. That’s why Trump says he wanted to endorse Gallrein.”Give me somebody with a warm body to beat Massie. And then I got somebody with a warm body but also a big, beautiful brain and a great patriot he’s unbelievable,” Trump said.Dozens of other lawmakers and candidates for both the House and Senate were in attendance, including Andy Barr, Nate Morris, and Daniel Cameron. Trump acknowledged them but did not endorse them.
