Henry turned 31 in January. For an NFL running back, that’s pretty much ancient.
He also doesn’t look like he’s slowing down much, though. In 2024, he had 325 carries for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley recently spoke to Henry about his future, and about the idea of an impending retirement.
Henry pushed back on the idea of hanging up his cleats soon.
“I tell them: ‘When I feel like it’s time, I’ll hang it up,'” Henry said of his response to those who ask about retirement. “But right now, I don’t see that anytime soon.”

That’s great news for Ravens fans, who surely enjoyed the dominant rushing duo last season of Henry and QB Lamar Jackson.
Henry enters this season with 106 career rushing touchdowns, which is tied with Jim Brown for sixth in NFL history.

He’s currently 19th on the all-time rush yards list, with 11,423.
If Henry were to rush for exactly 1,000 yards this season, he’d move up to 11th on the all-time list and pass Steven Jackson, Fred Taylor, Thurman Thomas, Franco Harris, Marcus Allen, Edgerrin James, Marshall Faulk and Brown.

Henry isn’t built like other running backs. He’s bigger, stronger, yet still fast as anyone when he gets moving.
Until Henry gives the football world a reason to believe he’s slowing down, there’s no reason to expect him to leave the game.
