Stocks, Bonds Pause Rally Ahead of Inflation Data, Nvidia Earnings
Stocks fell broadly on Monday, with the Dow loosing 349 points or 0.8%. The S&P 500 closed down 0.4%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 0.2%. The index had traded higher for most of the day, but the momentum failed to carry through the close. The Russell 2000 Index, which reflects smaller stocks, took a big hit, falling 0.96%.
