The Dow Is Showing Signs of Life. Energy Stocks Are Shining.

After falling 700 points earlier in the morning, the Dow was down just 262 points, or 0.6%, shortly before 1 p.m. ET. Nvidia, up 2.1%, was still the only stock in the index that was positive, but others pared some losses.

The S&P 500 was down 0.6%. Breadth was still terrible, but now 50 stocks were on the rise instead of just eight. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.6%, as well.
