TSLA: Cathie Wood Dumps Millions in Tesla and Meta Shares

Cathie Wood shifted several positions across her ARK ETFs on Dec. 4, moving money out of two Mega tech names and into mid-cap growth stocks.
ARK sold 14,211 shares of Meta (NASDAQ:META) for about $9.1 million. The firm also trimmed its Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stake by unloading 7,478 shares valued at roughly $3.3 million. The cuts follow a series of recent reductions that show a steady move away from large-cap tech after a strong year.
The most notable buy involved Trade Desk (NASDAQ:TTD). ARK purchased 204,354 shares worth about $7.9 million across multiple funds, signalling interest in digital advertising platforms as marketing budgets shift toward more targeted tools.
ARK also continued to scale back its position in Iridium Communications (NASDAQ:IRDM), selling about $4 million in shares across ARKK, ARKQ and ARKX.
Additional activity included purchases of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB), WeRide (NASDAQ:WRD), Pure Storage (NYSE:PSTG) and GeneDx (WGS).
The mixed moves suggest a rotation toward sectors Wood views as better positioned for the next phase of growth, though market conditions may influence how these allocations evolve.
