US: S&P 500, Nasdaq open flat ahead of economic data; Boeing declines
THE benchmark S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq opened muted on Friday (Jan 24), with investors staying cautious ahead of economic data, while planemaker Boeing dropped after issuing a quarterly profit warning.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 31.3 points, or 0.07 per cent, at the open to 44,533.75.
The S&P 500 rose 2.7 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 6,121.43, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 33.4 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 20,087.105. REUTERS
