Warren Buffett $1M March Madness Winner Nails 31 of 32 Games
Warren Buffett has finally found a winner to his March Madness bracket pool challenge.
The billionaire Berkshire Hathaway CEO and chairman will reportedly award an employee of FlightSafety International, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, a $1 million prize after the person correctly predicted 31 of 32 first-round games of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Buffett has offered employees $1 million in his March Madness bracket challenge for almost a decade; however, without a winner yet, he adjusted the rules this year to make it easier to win. The winner didn’t need to predict all 32 first-round games correctly—instead, 30 out of 32. The unnamed winner was one of 12 who correctly predicted 31 of 32 outcomes, but that entry won because it went the furthest without getting any wrong, nailing the first 29 games.
The other 11 will reportedly receive $100,000 each.

Buffett, a sports fan who is passionate about his alma mater University of Nebraska, has been involved in various March Madness offerings for the last decade. The 94-year-old originally offered basketball fans a billion dollars if they submitted a perfect bracket.
Later, he started the promotion internally at his conglomerate in 2016. Employees were offered $1 million if they were perfect after two rounds (which still existed this year). The flexibility to the rules allowed for the employees to finally break through and win the $1 million prize.
