HCL Technologies (HCLTech) on Monday reported a 9.7 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in consolidated net profit at ₹3,843 crore for the first quarter (Q1) ended June. This dip, from ₹4,257 crore in the same period last year, was primarily attributed to several strategic and market-driven factors — a strengthening US dollar, lower operational utilisation, and increased investments in generative artificial intelligence (AI), as well as go-to-market initiatives. Despite the profit contraction, revenue from operations for the April-June quarter demonstrated robust growth, climbing 8.1 per cent y-o-y to ₹30,349 crore, up from ₹28,057 crore in Q1 FY25.
Tata Technologies has reported a 10% drop in its net profit to ₹170 crore for the June quarter. In US Dollar terms, the company reported revenue of $145.3 million, which is 2.1 per cent lower in comparison to the March quarter. In constant currency terms, revenue growth was a negative 4.6 per cent.
Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS), a subsidiary of Infosys BPM, and the State of Vermont, Department of Financial Regulation (DFR), have entered into a Stipulation and Consent Order, as per a regulatory filing. The DFR alleged that IMS violated the Vermont Security Breach Notice Act by failing to provide timely and accurate information during its cybersecurity investigation and by not promptly notifying data owners of the breach.
Tech Mahindra will declare its Q1 results. Analysts expect Tech Mahindra to post a sequential decline in both revenue and net profit for the quarter ended June amid seasonal headwinds and weakness in key segments.
