Why the Dow Is Having Its Best Week Since Early November

The S&P 500 is up 1.1%, and on track to gain 3.2% this week. That would be its best week since Nov. 8, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The Dow is up 433 points, or 1%, and 4% on the week. It’s also on track for its best week since Nov. 8. The Nasdaq Composite is up 1.5% today and 2.7% on the week, which is only good for its best week since Dec. 6.

The stock market’s biggest driver this week has been a bond market rally. Rising bond yields have been weighing on stocks in recent weeks, but some cooler-than-expected inflation numbers eased some of that pressure.
