Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is extending its German AI footprint through financial backing for emerging businesses and collaboration aimed at bringing the technology into industrial operations, according to details released Monday.
The four companies selected are Agile Robots, Avelios Medical, Mirelo and Reflex Aerospace. Nvidia has not disclosed the amount allocated to each recipient.
The investments form part of a broader commitment of nearly $10 billion across Europe, including support for businesses, universities and research institutions. Chief Executive Jensen Huang outlined the initiative at the Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin.
Germany is also seeking wider business participation in AI development. Chancellor Friedrich Merz called on companies, particularly small and midsize enterprises, to make their data available for AI applications. Huang said the technology should expand employees’ capabilities rather than replace them.
Industrial applications featured in a separate development involving Siemens. The company demonstrated AI tools developed with Nvidia at its Erlangen facility on Monday.
Siemens estimates the technology could reduce engineering work required to prepare manufacturing processes by up to 85%. AI-assisted production planning may also lower costs by as much as 20%, according to Siemens.
