WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Reserve left its key interest rate unchanged Wednesday, although three officials dissented in favor of higher rates as the central bank wrestles with how to deal with persistently high inflation.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh gave remarks Wednesday afternoon after the nation’s central bank decided to hold interest rates steady for the fifth time amid uncertainty around energy prices as a result of the Iran war.
The Federal Open Market Committee maintained its baseline interest rate at a range of 3.5 percent to 3.75 percent.
