NEW YORK (AP) — More swings hit Wall Street on Friday, except the U.S. stock market finished higher this time.

After bobbing up and down through the morning, the S&P 500 took off and rallied nearly 2% before finishing with a gain of 1%.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce plans to wait until after the season to make a decision on retirement, though he did say Friday that he wants to make that decision early enough that the Kansas City Chiefs have time to prepare for the future.

Tesla (TSLA) stock closed lower on Friday, shedding gains late in the day as robotaxi optimism tried to overcome AI bubble fears gripping the market.

The down session comes after Thursday’s peak-to-trough sell-off brought down Big Tech names like Tesla and other “Magnificent Seven” stocks, despite a strong earnings report from Nvidia (NVDA) on Wednesday night.
