Billionaire investor Warren Buffett has ended donations to the Gates Foundation and will transfer approximately US$6 billion in Berkshire Hathaway stock to four foundations associated with his family.
The 95-year-old Berkshire chairman said Tuesday that he will convert 8,000 Class A shares into 12 million Class B shares before distributing them among the charities.
On consumer trends, Wells Fargo’s CEO highlighted the robustness observed during Q2.
Net interest income rose 5% to $12.32 billion, helped by lower deposit costs and higher loan and investment securities balances.
Average loans increased 12% from last year to $1.03 billion.
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) and Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) are two of the stock market’s largest technology companies, with similar-sized market caps of roughly $1.5 trillion and $1.7 trillion, respectively. On July 7, Cathie Wood’s Ark Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG +0.67%) sold over 44,000 shares of BioNTech (BNTX 1.49%), a German immunotherapy maker. The next day, it sold over 78,000 shares, a transaction valued at around $7.4 million.

Gold’s spot price — or its current trading value — today as of 9:00 a.m. ET is $4,069.95
