Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 were up 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively,
WASHINGTON — Wholesale prices in the United States rose last month, remaining low but suggesting that the American economy has yet to completely vanquish inflationary pressure.
Thursday’s report from the Labor Department showed that its producer price index — which tracks inflation before it hits consumers — rose 0.2% from September to October,
Chinese tech stocks listed in Hong Kong extended their slump from a high in October to about 20%, as investors reduced positions amid rising geopolitical risks and caution toward earnings.
The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 3.2% on Thursday, with JD.com Inc and Xiaomi Corp among the top contributors to the gauge’s slide.

Stock futures are rising early Thursday. The market is taking everything in its stride.
