In an early August letter to every Democratic senator, he called the fast-track approach “absurd, anti-democratic and unacceptable.” The Vermont senator worries that a shorter timeline could leave retirees with less time to understand changes that may eventually reach their senior benefits.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 —The ringgit extended its gains to close higher against the US dollar on Wednesday, supported by last-minute buying ahead of the release of the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes later tonight.

At 6 pm, the ringgit inched up to 4.0565/0610 against the US dollar from yesterday’s close of 4.0575/0615.
