Stock Market Rebounds, Trims Weekly Losses; Fed Rate Decision, Retail Sales Due
The stock market turned in a relief rally Friday following a mostly in-line inflation report, and ended firmly off weekly lows. Now, the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting and retail sales data come into focus in the week ahead. The Nasdaq composite bounced 1% Friday, a move that propelled the index back above its 21-day exponential moving average.
