[NEW YORK] Wall Street stocks rose on Thursday with tech equities leading, after the White House signalled President Donald Trump could extend a July tariff deadline.

US stock futures rose as investors bet that an interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve could land sooner rather than later.
Futures attached to the Dow Jones Industrial Average (YM=F) jumped 0.2%. Futures attached to the benchmark S&P 500 (ES=F) and the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 (NQ=F) ticked up 0.1%.
Defense stock Parsons (NYSE: PSN) was a stock market winner on Thursday. The second-to-last day of the trading week saw the company’s share price improve by 4% thanks in no small part to a positive analyst note.
