ASX to fall as traders prepare for look inside Warsh’s Fed Reserve
Investors are eagerly awaiting the release of the minutes from the US Federal Reserve’s latest meeting to get their first look under the hood of the world’s most important central bank under new chairman Kevin Warsh and hunt for clues about how close it may be to increasing interest rates.
Warsh’s hawkish comments last month in his first press conference as Fed chair sent the price of gold and copper down as the dollar rallied on the back of signals that policymakers would pursue tighter monetary policy.
