Cathie Wood Loads Up $74 Million into Amazon Stock

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) drew a fresh vote of confidence from Ark Invest last week as Cathie Wood’s firm rotated into large-cap tech and next-generation energy names, adding Amazon across five funds while trimming several other holdings.
Amazon was the firm’s biggest buy in the week, with Ark adding 283,900 shares worth nearly $74 million. The move suggests Wood is still leaning on Amazon’s cloud and consumer platform even as she shifts parts of the portfolio toward newer themes.
Amazon also stood out because the buying came alongside heavier selling elsewhere in Ark’s lineup, including semiconductors and space-related names.
That makes the Amazon position look more deliberate than routine rebalancing, at least based on the recap.
