Most major chipmakers gained in premarket trading, with Nvidia up 2.1%, Intel rising 2.3% and Advanced Micro Devices adding 1.9%. The Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index had suffered eight straight sessions of declines, its longest losing streak in 18 years. The index remained near two-month lows despite a brief recovery on Monday.
