U.S. stock futures were mixed on Friday as investors waited for August employment data that could shape expectations for the Federal Reserve’s next policy move. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.44% and S&P 500 futures gained 0.05%, while Dow futures slipped 0.11% at 7:05 a.m. ET. Economists surveyed by Reuters expect nonfarm payrolls to have increased by 56,000 in August after a 23,000 decline in July, with unemployment seen at 4.1%. The report is expected to be a key test of recent equity-market momentum and could influence rate expectations.
