Edelweiss Mutual Fund CEO Radhika Gupta, who was chosen as one of the speakers at Milken Institute’s Global Conference in Los Angeles, United States, said that this was the era of the Indian dream and added that while building in the country was full of chaos in the short term, the future belonged to India.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter), Gupta, who had also heard Tesla CEO Elon Musk speak about the American Dream to Mike Milken, said that India offered young boys and girls all that was needed to build companies that could be listed on stock exchanges and Indian students who moved overseas for higher education now willingly come back to the country, knowing it would be the best decision taken by them.
“As I said there and really do believe, this is now the era of the Indian Dream. One where you can be a young girl or boy in a small town in India and build a business big enough to be listed on the exchanges. All on the back of a large young consumer base, world class digital infrastructure and a tremendous environment for entrepreneurship.”
“One where a student who once went to study abroad with no intention of coming back now willingly chooses to return home, and knows it is the best decision he or she made. And there are many more versions,” Gupta wrote on the social media platform.
I had the pleasure of speaking about the potential and possibilities of India at the @MilkenInstitute Global Conference in LA, alongside some incredible names including @USAmbIndia.
