Federal Reserve official talks Missouri economic challenges in Joplin
JOPLIN, Mo. — They continue to impact individuals, communities and industries across the country.
And today, at Crowder College’s Joplin campus, national economic trends were the focus of this Southwest Missouri Economic Forum.
Through the MOKAN Partnership, Jeremy Hill from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City was in town to talk about those trends impacting the healthcare, nonprofit and banking industries.
He told us something like this gives him insight, not to mention real-time information regarding how folks are navigating economic situations.

“That’s important right now. Inflation’s been high. How’s it wearing down consumers, alright? How’s it impacting the healthcare industry? A number of economists from the Reserve are part of events like this across the state.
