OPINION: The Need For Eliminating Inequality In Retirement Plans For Public Employees
Working in education is never easy. With a new crop of students each semester, long nights grading papers, and endless time spent lesson planning, each year is truly a new adventure.
This line of work isn’t for everyone, but teachers do it for one reason: to help our students succeed in the future. However, their futures are not the only ones I need to keep in mind. At the end of my career, I need to be able to retire comfortably. And right now, Congress has a chance to help me and other public employees do just that.
