In an emphatic break from President Donald Trump, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers says in a new TV ad that “Canada is not our enemy” and that the U.S. needs to end its trade war immediately.
“Drinking a Labatt and watching the Red Wings, man, it just doesn’t get any more Michigan than that,” Rogers says while holding a bottle of the Canadian beer. “Here in Michigan, we know that Canada is not our enemy. We need to end this tariff war now.”
